Boxing Classes for Beginners in Southampton

You do not need to be fit, tough or experienced to start boxing. A good beginner boxing class should teach stance, guard, footwork and punching mechanics before anything intense.

What happens in a beginner boxing class

Expect a warm-up, footwork, shadowboxing, pad work, bag work and conditioning. The first few sessions should be about learning how to move and punch safely, not about being thrown into sparring.

Do you have to spar?

No. Sparring should be optional and only introduced when a student wants it and has the technical base to stay safe. Many adults train boxing purely for fitness, confidence and stress relief.

Why boxing at a martial arts facility works

At Limitless, boxing can be your main class or your entry point into a wider training week. If you later want kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, judo, Pilates or fitness classes, you do not need to change gyms.

Want to see which class actually fits?

The simplest answer is to try the room. Your first 7 days are free, with no card and no pressure.

Am I too unfit to start boxing?

No. Boxing classes build fitness. Start at your level and let the sessions do the work.
