Is Home Ed martial arts right for your child?

The programme is for home-educated children aged 5-14. It offers a different focus from choosing a dedicated kickboxing, boxing or BJJ class: the starting point is fun through general martial arts. It can suit families looking for a regular physical activity and an opportunity for their children to meet others outside their home-learning routine.

Children arrive with different interests, levels of confidence and experience. Tell us if your child is new to martial arts, nervous about a group activity or needs particular support. We can discuss the session before you book, rather than expecting you to judge suitability from a class name alone. We do not promise a particular outcome or assume the same approach works for every child.

Our Home Education classes welcome ages 5-14. Ask which activities the group is currently covering, whether parents should remain on site, and what to bring. We do not assume that a child's age or previous training alone determines the right group. Discuss any accessibility or additional support needs with the team first.

Membership and trial options

Home Education training is priced lower than our standard training options to help home-educating families access regular activity. Our booking system lists the current specialist Home Ed / Pilates membership options. These are not general unlimited access to every martial arts class. Check the selected plan's allowance and eligibility before joining, and ask the team how the trial applies to your chosen session.

Do parents need to stay, and what should children bring?

Children may also have suitable kickboxing, BJJ, judo or boxing options elsewhere in the timetable. Each session has its own age guidance. You do not have to choose a discipline before speaking to us.
