Head Coach - Judo
I started practicing judo after watching my children train and fully immerse themselves in the sport in my 30’s (so it’s never to late to take it up!!). There is nothing I love more than passing on my knowledge and watching people thrive within the martial art and expanding our Judo family

Super impressed with the young teacher who's only 17, but is absolutely brilliant with the children at BJJ class."

Proper judo coaching in Southampton
Judo is one of the most under-represented martial arts in Hampshire - true judo coaching, on real tatami, from qualified coaches with international competition experience, is rare. At Limitless we offer it for both kids and adults, in a club environment that respects the tradition of judo while keeping the atmosphere modern, welcoming and beginner-friendly.
Judo for kids and judo for adults
Children's judo at Limitless is structured around the BJA grading syllabus, with proper coaching on ukemi (breakfalls), gripping, throws and groundwork. For adults, judo is the perfect complement to BJJ, MMA or just a strong full-body workout. If you've been searching for judo classes in Southampton, judo for kids in Hampshire, or an Olympic combat sport for your child, come and try a session.
Why judo is one of the best foundations for martial arts
Judo teaches balance, timing, posture, resilience and respect in a way few sports can match. For children, it builds coordination and discipline without relying on striking. For adults, it develops real stand-up grappling skill, practical self-defence awareness and a level of conditioning that carries into BJJ, MMA and everyday life. Every class starts with safety, then builds towards throws, holds, turnovers and controlled sparring.
A rare Southampton judo programme with room to progress
Many people searching for judo in Southampton struggle to find a consistent programme that works for both beginners and improving students. Limitless gives you regular coaching, proper mats, crossover with BJJ and MMA, and a gym culture where learning safely matters more than rushing into hard rounds. That makes it a strong choice for families, adult beginners and grapplers who want better takedowns.
