"Corey Kent is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach in Southampton, a brown belt competitor, and an autism ambassador now bringing his wider Hampshire grappling experience to Limitless Martial Arts."

Background

Corey Kent is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach and accomplished competitor who is now joining the coaching team at Limitless Martial Arts Southampton. Having trained in BJJ since 2020 across different gyms and grappling rooms around Hampshire, Corey has earned his brown belt through consistent hard work, technical development, and a genuine passion for the sport.

With more than 200 competitive matches and over 60 medals, Corey brings valuable outside competition experience into the room at Limitless. His achievements include strong performances and victories at respected events such as the ADCC British Open, English Open, and IBJJF London Open, giving students the chance to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques that have been tested under pressure.

Corey is also a qualified UKBJJA Level 2 Referee and has further knowledge of IBJJF and AJP rulesets. That understanding of modern competition rules helps students train smarter, whether they are preparing for their first local tournament, developing their no-gi game, or improving their overall BJJ strategy.

Corey is dedicating time to Limitless to help elevate the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and no-gi grappling programme, sharing the lessons, details, and training methods he has picked up from competing and training across the wider Hampshire BJJ scene. His role is to support students, add another technical voice to the mats, and help members sharpen their training from a fresh perspective.

Alongside his coaching and competition work, Corey is an autism ambassador and is openly autistic himself. He uses that experience to support greater understanding, confidence, and inclusion in martial arts, helping students feel welcome regardless of their background, learning style, or starting point.

Whether you want to improve your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, get fitter, build confidence, learn practical self-defence, or prepare for your next competition, Corey brings a supportive coaching style that helps students progress at their own pace while raising the standard in the room.
